) You wouldn't expect a book with such a superficial, corny looking cover to actually have any substance to its reading. But even with the typical female teenager's journey through makeovers and boys, this book still holds to reality and clocks in with very original creativity and humor. The story starts with 9th grade girl in the UK. Her best friend just moved to Africa and her brother is traveling cross-country. She struggles to make new friends - and when she does, she still struggles with boys. She soon learns the lesson that love doesn't hold to looks alone, and not to be too quick to judge. It's a cute, entertaining book. I don't know if it's one in a series or not.I wouldn't recommend this if you're looking for a thought-provoking or deep read, but it's definitely quality entertainment.
