A quirky love story between dwarfs, told in both characters' perspectives. Little Little, the girl dwarf, is being planned to engage a famous preacher dwarf. However, she soon finds and begins a relationship with an orphaned dwarf who makes his living off of show business mascot routines. Her supposed 'groom' also finds himself another mate, and their planned marriage doesn't even see its beginnings. The main issue with this story is that the main characters are 17 and 18, but in what modern industrialized country today do adults think marriage is too late for someone in their twenties, as they normalize in this book? (Yes it is set in the 70s and 80s, granted, but still.) I usually think highly of narratives told from various perspectives, but this was confusing and unrealistic.
